Ain’t I a Woman: Part 2-Expansive Contraception
Birthmark Doula Collective is hosting Part 2 of our panel discussion series titled, Ain't I A Woman, which focuses on Expansive Contraception on Sunday, July 21 from 1-3 pm at ACE Hotel.
The idea of expansive contraception refers to the concept of ensuring that all people of childbearing age have the information and technology and care required to be self-determined in their decisions regarding conceiving and birthing or not conceiving and not birthing. The access to information which will support autonomous decisions using both a holistic and medical approach. Expansive contraception focuses on ensuring familiarity and knowledge of one's own body and claiming the right to make decisions that are best for the individual and their family and community, encompassing the spectrum of reasons individuals use contraception in, out and around pregnancy prevention.
